Dr. Kris Johnson was raised in Fridley, Minnesota and attended college at the University of Minnesota-Duluth where he earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Biology and Chemistry. He obtained his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Minnesota in 1990. Upon completion of his dental training he accepted a commission as an officer in the United States Navy Dental Corps. He gained a special interest in endodontics while serving at Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, South Carolina and Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay, Hawaii. Upon completion of his Naval service Dr. Johnson entered into his specialty training at the Medical College of Virginia/Virginia Commonwealth University. He returned to private practice in the Twin Cities following completion of his specialty training in 1997.
Dr. Johnson is a member of the American Association of Endodontists, the American Dental Association, the Minnesota Association of Endodontists, the Minnesota Dental Association, and the Minneapolis District Dental Society.
Dr. Johnson and his wife, Lynn, reside in Wyoming and have three children, Cassie, Savannah, and Max. Interests include hunting, fishing, skiing, cooking, and travel. He is also active in his church in a number of capacities, including serving as a mentor to the middle school youth.
